I went to school to be an archaeologist and realized digging in dirt wasn't as fun as it was when I was a kid. Now I dig in archives instead.

About

I have been researching the history of my family for nearly 20 years now.  I have a degree in archaeology and have found it very useful to apply some of the things I learned there to researching my family tree, and the training in research methodology I had while I was in school has made me a much better family history researcher than I was when I started out.

My particular areas of interest are: Texan, Louisiana Creole, French and Irish genealogy.
